Gear, by build stage
A rig is a chain of stages, and each stage has two or three numbers that decide whether it works with the ones either side of it. Every page here is a spec table first and a recommendation second.
15 stages · 101 catalogued parts · source: src/data/catalog
The first two stages are not purchases. The target species sets every tolerance downstream — hook window, line test, drag floor, leader material. The venue sets depth, current, corrosion, and what you have to wear. Water is chosen inside the studio, where it can drive the simulation.

Reading the tables is the slow path. The studio walks the same stages in order and tells you when two parts disagree.
