Those are the species whose working hook window includes 5/0. It is the smallest size we accept for Blue Catfish, Tarpon and Yellowfin Tuna. It is the largest we accept for Flounder and Largemouth Bass. Size the hook to the bait as well as the fish: the window is where a hook clears the jaw without swamping the mouth.

Yes. Aught sizes grow as the number climbs, so 5/0 is larger than 4/0 and smaller than 6/0.

We do not print a figure, because there is no standard one. Hook sizes are not tied to a length or gap measurement, so a 5/0 from one maker can differ visibly from another's, and patterns differ more than makers do: a long-shank Aberdeen and a short octopus of the same printed size are not the same hook. Compare a new pack against a hook you already know.
